Our Prime Minister, Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak has recently theme the new fresh Budget 2010 as "1Malaysia, Together We Prosper". I know this just now by 'accidentally" watching TV3 news at KKM's cafe. The 10th Malaysia Plan will be filled as much as RM191.5 billion, a quite small number for a foundation for our new economic model.

There will be three main strategies in this new budget, which are driving the country into a high income economy, ensuring holistic and sustainable development, also focusing on the well being of the rakyat. These strategies should come with a great enforce of implementation from our very own government - Malaysia. It is hard to drive a country into a high income economy but it never be a possible thing to do. This is because, even we have so much rural areas in our country, in the downtown area but we still have the center of economic growth such as Kuala Lumpur and Johor Bahru. Who knows, someday we can be like Singapore or much more develop than them. In order to ensuring the holistic and sustainable development, again, it all depends on the way our 'man' govern the country. Government really should focus on the well being of their rakyat as rakyat was the strongest medium to bring the country to another level, especially youth.

In this new budget, there will be greater rewards for students who excel in their study, for example, 30 National Scholarships for the creme de la creme students, strictly based on merit. Conversion of PTPTN loans to scholarships for students who graduate with 1st class honours degree will be given to students starting 2010. The greater news for 'onliners' is that, there will be offer of netbook package, including free broadband service, to university students for RM50 per month for 2 years. It is best to use this offer in university such as UiTM, because they got not much coverage of Wireless Fidelity (WiFi). This offer will worth for them.

The Budget also includes the Permata programme in it, as stated in the Budget that it emphasise on early childcare and education, including the gifted child programme. It is important, for me I think it is best to invest the budget in this programme due to its benefits that our youngsters can get. Likewise, education is the most fundamental yet so very important in the era of globalisation nowadays. In addition, this programme also joined the gifted child in it. It is good to hear that these special kid will be treated as great as normal child.

I stress much on education matter so I would like to conclude on my view that, that government should implement those billions on education wisely. As education is very important for us to stay as united 1Malaysia thus bring us to another level of country - develop country. As what our Prime Minister has enforced in 1Malaysia nation - Rakyat Didahulukan, Pencapaian Diutamakan or generally translated as "People First, Achievements Prioritized".

"Hidden Agenda", politic matter?

"Hidden Agenda", my next post in this journal. Not really a topic to talk about but just for one to read, as

info maybe. Hidden Agenda is a broader subjective matter, so I will bring it to more narrower matter which is the

hidden agenda of organisation in college, UKM to be exact.

In every college, there must be an organisation or more, that has this hidden agenda. Some questions arise

such "Why this organisation build up?" "What the purpose?" "What would I get from this?" and so on.

Recently I joined an organisation in my college, called Karisma Jasa, as I was chosen as one of them. It was

a mere political sub-organisation for students. There were like 80+ of us in this college that has been chosen as

Karismarians. Every night they got meeting till late midnight, no-ending discussion, just like our PBL.

At my observation, it was fun but full of stress. It was really a campus lifestyle but if only meeting for many

hours without a promising outcome, I think it will be nothing. Few days ago, they have the chance to meet the

"genius" of law in Malaysia, Datuk Seri Utama Dr. Rais bin Yatim.

For me, being a member of this organisation gave me benefits, I think. It is better than nothing.

Things regarding politics is non-argued matter because it will never end. Undergraduate students, law students, involving in this mere political matter is common, even if they are not so obvious in the eyes of society. I think instead of bring up the AUKU 1974, but still involving students in this mere politics organisation, it is something weird or wrong somewhere there.

Whatever it is, every organisation have their own pro's and con's. Either bad or good, depends on how we think they are. Hidden Agenda - politic matter? Lets take few moments to think about it, and few more moments to think how far the political matter affect undergraduate.

social networking - faceBOOK!

Social Networking, something that most teenagers addicted to.

I'll stress on Facebook because it was ranked as the most used social network by worldwide monthly active users in January 2009, research done by Compete.com. A bit about Facebook, it was a global social networking website that is operated and privately owned by Facebook Inc. Facebook was founded by Mark Zuckerberg with his college roomates and fello computer science students Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz and Chris Hugheswhile he was a student at Harvard University.

Having a Facebook account is something worth in social life. By just logging in into the account, users can add friends and send them messages, and update their personal profiles to notify friends about themselves. Additionally, users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region. The website's name stems from the colloquial name of books given at the start of the academic year by university administrations with the intention of helping students get to know each other better.

Facebook-ing is fun, but sometimes too much Facebook-ing can distract someone’s life. What I mean is, for example students, me myself, I think too much Facebook-ing makes me procrastinate to do what I have to do especially study. As a student law student to be exact, we ought to spent much time face the book not Facebook-ing. Most my friends keep complaining about too much Facebook-ing and sometimes even ask the Facebook to stay away from them (me too) but still, they keep opening their page, commenting on others and playing games, quiz and so on there. It was like there is a “Never Log Off” policy when you have a Facebook account.

I think having a Facebook account is not wrong, but it depends on how that person manage their time. Social Networking do give benefits to us. We can get more friends, discussing about problems in study and also express feelings. The most fundamental thing to do is have fun but at the same time, study. In the exam mood like now, it is actually doesn’t matter if students Facebook-ing 24 hours a day 7 days a week, as Facebook-ing can be a medium to discuss about subjects that we learn, for example Contract Law.

Again, I want to stress out that this social networking matter is subjective to talk about. Therefore, on whatever things I have listed down, one should do this –especially students - Facebook-ing while face the book.
